Dheeraj “Raj” Chadha, FCCA | MIH

A Strong History

Raj is a graduate of London South Bank University with a Master of Science degree in Accounting and Finance. He was nominated as UK Finance Director of the Year in 2016 (Growing Business Awards) and was interviewed by Treasury Today magazine. He has a proven track record in the development of high performing teams, as well as in identifying, implementing strategic initiatives and delivering change.

He has been passionate about helping companies make better decisions in over 20 years. He is commercially focused as a hospitality business partner with outstanding leadership and strategic decision-making skills. His resilience and hardworking nature despite challenges, make him exceptionally adaptive to a continually changing operating environment in the hospitality industry.

In 2000, Raj became the Finance Manager for TeleAdapt Ltd in the UK, a global business that was established in 1992, which supplied hotels with connectivity (Internet, power, docking, and multi-media) products, and achieving strategic manufacturing partnerships with the major TV and technology companies. Four years later, he was promoted as Group Financial Controller and was responsible for the global financial function in TeleAdapt’s offices in the UAE, Hong Kong, and the United States. In 2007, he became TeleAdapt Group’s Chief Financial Officer and was responsible for the company’s overall operational and strategic financial activities in line with IFRS/GAAP standards and he was the main point of contact for all finance and hospitality matters for their global office network across Europe, America, Asia and the Middle East. He helped TeleAdapt secure several brand standard agreements with the major global hotel chains. Due to economic and political uncertainty around Brexit, trade tariffs and consolidation in the global hotel sector, TeleAdapt Ltd closed its UK operations after 27 years.

In October 2019, Raj founded D Chadha Consulting Ltd, offering solutions and services to valued clients in the hospitality industry. Its products range from quality bathroom mirror heating pads to hotel-specified alarm clocks and power/charging products. D Chadha Consulting Ltd is the proud authorized distributor of international brands such as Demista, Nonstop, iHome, Soundfreaq, Homtime, Dampf, Roberts Radios, Must-Have Bins, Siemlus, Oliver Hemming and Telekonek. Along with these brands, the company also sells OEM products as specified by most hospitality groups and suppliers.

Through the years, Raj has helped to increase the business growth of SMEs and hospitality groups worldwide. His commitment to his work demands that he persevere in his task to provide the best in service and dependability.

I started my own business D Chadha Consulting Ltd to help the hospitality industry and hotels, especially source unique and differentiated products to their ever-evolving guests’ needs.

Meet Czar

Business Development Manager

An Advocate of All Things Hospitality

A team player, highly motivated, reliable, and committed to professional standards, Czar has over 10 years of experience in the UAE and the Philippines in hospitality, marketing, and media production industries. She is skilled in client servicing, event planning, marketing, media production, and customer service.    

 

She is a graduate of De La Salle University – Dasmariñas, Philippines and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts. She had a knack for writing and proceeded to become an Editor-in-Chief for the official publication of the university’s student council. In 2003, she had the opportunity to do an e-mail interview with Meg Cabot, author of The Princess Diaries series. In 2004, she worked as a Production Assistant (internship) at GMA Network, Philippines, one of the country’s largest broadcasting networks.

Her passion for the media arts has resulted in a lifestyle of hospitality.  She finds that working in hospitality takes character building; skills that could not be learned anywhere else. It has taught her about prioritization, quick solutions to problems, interaction, and humility. Her aspiration to please people and cultures became the deciding factor for her in choosing the hospitality industry as a career. 

In 2008, she started her profession in hospitality in the UAE and spent the rest of her professional life working in the industry. She joined the team at Hilton Dubai Creek and then carried out her work in hospitality by becoming the Marketing Manager for TeleAdapt Ltd, a UK-based IT company that offers in-room guest connectivity solutions in over 4 million hotel rooms worldwide. During her term, she co-handled the market research efforts and prospecting for new clients by networking, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients across the Middle East, Indian Ocean, Africa, the Far East, and Oceania. She was responsible for developing the marketing plan and activities for the company to increase brand awareness and communicate promotions to all relevant target markets and addressed the company’s business needs.   

 

When TeleAdapt in the UK went into administration in October 2019, she partnered with Dheeraj Chadha and helped develop D Chadha Consulting Ltd by studying the products and services, whilst providing consultative help in establishing strategies to identify sales leads, pitch goods or services to new clients and maintain a good working relationship with the customers.  

 

The hospitality industry is highly competitive and requires a strategy to earn and retain a customer’s business. Czar knows about the importance of hospitality marketing and strategies for success. She expands her reach in the hospitality community and online. She develops not only awareness about her work but creates campaigns that will attract customers and keep them coming back for years. Her mission is to create a plan that not only sells the companies’ products and packages but ensures that it also promotes the client’s (both Hotel and Guest) overall experience. Boosting awareness of her partners’ brands must encourage customer engagement, and she does it to build life-long relationships.

TeleAdapt Inc is another firm seeing big demand from the region’s hotels. Marketing Manager, Czar Ngaosi explains, “Guests need easy access to universal chargers and speakers, as they take their mobile devices with them just about everywhere nowadays.” 

However, Ngaosi noted that not all hotels were looking for modern fixtures. “For ease of use, some hotels will still opt to stick with old versions of the HDMI/VGA enabled systems.”
